For the past 30 years Elaine Rennie has performed a kind of Christmas
miracle, devoting her holiday to those less fortunate. Every year –
come snow or sleet – Rennie can be found in the Scott Mission kitchen
helping cook and serve the hungry and the homeless at the annual
Christmas Day lunch.

Volunteers are an essential part of the work that happens at The Scott Mission. In 2007, our volunteers logged a total of 26,995 hours and performed a variety of tasks: helping in the food bank, serving hot meals in our dining room and many other ways.
