Toronto Star - Mission, and its volunteers, deliver Christmas dinner - Debra Black
For the past 30 years Elaine Rennie has performed a kind of Christmas
miracle, devoting her holiday to those less fortunate. Every year –
come snow or sleet – Rennie can be found in the Scott Mission kitchen
helping cook and serve the hungry and the homeless at the annual
Christmas Day lunch.

Toronto Sun - Scott Mission opens holiday doors
The Scott Mission's mission is to see lives transformed by
Christ's love. Every day, we are addressing the physical, social and
spiritual needs of a wide range of people and we praise Him for the
positive changes in their lives.
Our ministries reach out to
men, women and children of all ages, ethnicities and spiritual
backgrounds. Anyone who is in need of our assistance is welcome. While
our Christian life and being is central in our work, we honour
everyone’s religious beliefs and convictions.
The Scott Mission offers daily hot meals, a low-cost daycare, foot clinic, prayer and Bible study groups, a summer camp for children and youth, free good-quality clothing, groceries, shower and laundry facilities for the homeless, an overnight program, orientation for recent immigrants, an after-school program, friendly visiting and out-of-town retreats for shut-ins.
