Toronto Star - Mission, and its volunteers, deliver Christmas dinner - Debra Black
For the past 30 years Elaine Rennie has performed a kind of Christmas
miracle, devoting her holiday to those less fortunate. Every year –
come snow or sleet – Rennie can be found in the Scott Mission kitchen
helping cook and serve the hungry and the homeless at the annual
Christmas Day lunch.

Toronto Sun - Scott Mission opens holiday doors
All of us go through times in our lives when we feel broken, lonely,
misunderstood or burnt out. It can be frustrating when no one seems to
care. In the Bible, David expressed similar feelings:
"Look to my right and see; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life." Psalm 142:4
But there is someone who loves you and cares for you and His name is Jesus Christ. He came to this Earth 2000 years ago to show you how valued and treasured you are to Him.
People may fail you when life gets tough, but God never fails those who put their trust in Him.
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
You can depend on His faithfulness to give you strength to meet each new day with its trials and burdens and experience the peace that comes with knowing that someone loves and accepts you unconditionally.

We've seen many transformed lives at the Mission from people who have decided to commit their lives to Jesus. With support, we've seen people become free from the bondage of drugs, worry, alcohol and anger and make the choice to live their lives for Him.
