To help transform the lives of men in our shelter, Scott Mission has learned that creating true, lasting, transformational change for men who face addiction, homelessness, depression, or other challenges requires a structured, year-long program.

The Mission is pleased to have launched a very specialized counselling and ministry outreach pilot program, The New Life Recovery Program, which will address the issues of homelessness, unemployment, and other hardships in a deeper way.

The Opportunity

Scott Mission has identified a group of eight men who are ready to participate in the New Life Recovery Program. These men are ready for more and are committed to a focused and intentional holistic journey of transformation – within a safe environment, in a residential setting.

Within the program, participants will

  • Uncover the roadblocks to transformation.
  • Learn how to address the root causes associated with their struggles.
  • Be supported with the tools and resources needed to encourage ongoing stability and growth for their lives.

Men who are joining the program will receive the following care and tools that they need to succeed within the program so they can begin to experience life to the fullest.

  • Treatment and supervision – clinical counselling from psychotherapists and social workers, case managers, coaching and instruction, ongoing follow-up and aftercare to ensure success.
  • Basic needs support – housing and food (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
  • Medical and personal care – addressing their physical needs.
  • Programs and development including – opportunities for group studies, classes, workshops, life skills training, Bible studies and spiritual care, retreats and outings, employment readiness support, and more.
