Since 1941, Scott Mission has been responding to the needs of individuals and families who face hunger and homelessness across the GTA. In addition, we have learned that the lack of adequate shelter, poor nutrition, loss of self-care, and feelings of isolation, can cause worsening health for our neighbours, who don’t have a family doctor. Because of this learning, the Mission has identified health care as an essential need – opening a health clinic, at our men’s shelter on Spadina Avenue, to help meet the needs of men in our shelter and others in our community.

The health clinic is meeting immediate needs…

  • Providing low barrier-to-entry care for the most vulnerable in our city.
  • Integrating case management and clinical counselling services.
  • Giving compassionate care through responsive interventions – five days a week.

Meet Our Team

Brooke Bell, Registered Nurse and Health Services Coordinator

“It’s exciting for me to be able to share what we are doing at our health clinic that allows us to provide more comprehensive services for our shelter and respite clients, and other neighbours, who are without access to ongoing medical care. I’ve always had a desire to serve the most vulnerable, working in a clinic at the community level – serving those who have difficulty accessing the health care system, and I’m very thankful to be part of Scott Mission’s wrap-around services team.”

Thank you for ongoing support!

LOVE is the WAY to restoration, hope, and recovery. The love of Jesus is what people find when they walk through the doors at Scott Mission. Together, we are serving those who need a helping hand to break the cycles of poverty and homelessness.
