Our 4-step process to volunteering

Apply to Volunteer

Complete the online application with all the required information.

Once your application has been submitted, you will receive an auto-generated message “Account Awaiting Activation” which means your application has been received by us and will now be pending review from one of our volunteer services team members.

Screening Process

If your skills and timing match our requirements and needs, we will be contacting the references you provided in your application.

Important! Please make sure your references know we will be contacting them once you submit your application.

Volunteer Match

One of the volunteer service team will contact you to discuss opportunities.

Orientation and Training

You will be contacted to confirm that your. application has been approved and provided with a confirmation/orientation email.

* Training will be provided by your supervising staff on your first day of volunteering

The length of time it takes to process an application varies depending on the season and the volume of applications submitted.

The Scott Mission receives a high volume of applications. We will only be in contact with applicants that meet our current needs.

The Christmas calendar is full for our once a year volunteers.
