Toronto’s at-risk children and youth faced many additional hardships in 2020. The pandemic closed schools, the place where many boys and girls receive meals. While their parents lost jobs and missed paycheques, our youth were isolated from friends and missed the chance to attend summer camp, after-school programs, and other social activities.
The Scott Mission worked to engage youth on social media with contests, memory posts, and updates, and often got everyone together virtually to nurture friendships and encourage the children to stay positive and close to God.
