THANK YOU for Investing in Young Lives!

By August 24, 2022No Comments

Celebrate with us and hundreds of boys and girls that Scott Mission is once again offering in-person outreaches, including Scott Mission Camp and after-school, mentorship, and leadership programs!

For two years, the pandemic caused the cancellation of our beloved Scott Mission Camp and our after-school and leadership programs, compounding the hardship and isolation felt by many of our youth and teens. Virtual programs were promptly implemented, helping bind young lives to God’s love and to their mentors and friends at Scott Mission—but there’s nothing like being in person with these wonderful kids!

Christian is one of those young people who was counting the days, excited for camp to begin. “My friends told me about Scott Mission Camp when I was very young. Everyone told me how they are so kind and loving, and it’s all about Jesus. I knew once I came to camp that I’d want to come back again and again.

“My favorite things to do are rock climbing, archery, mountain biking, and basketball. I want to be a basketball player in the future, the Lord willing.”

But Christian will be the first to tell you that Scott Mission Camp offers far more than sports and playtime—it’s a safe place to grow. “Scott Mission Camp is a family. Anything that you’re going through, you can talk about it and feel better,” he says.

Thank you for giving again today to help young people like Christian experience outreach programs that will help them develop character, grow in their faith, and stand equipped to make choices that will put them on a better path for life!

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” —James 1:17 NIV
