Putting Toronto’s Children on a Better Path—for Life!

By October 11, 2022No Comments

After the pandemic caused Scott Mission’s beloved summer camp to close for the first time in decades, and required youth programs to be held virtually, Toronto’s boys and girls were eager to participate once again—in person—in all the youth services and programs the Mission has to offer.

Ask any camper and they will tell you that this past summer was the best Scott Mission Camp ever! This year, through the generous gifts of friends like you, 240 children and teens were able to attend a camp where they learned all about God’s love in a beautiful wilderness environment.

These campers will have the chance to attend a camp reunion where they can reconnect with camp counsellors and old friends while making new ones, playing games, listening to Bible lessons, and eating good meals.

Beyond camp, Scott Mission also offers after-school programs in both the Lawrence Heights and 1550 O’Connor Drive communities for students aged 7 to 18. Programs run from October to May.

And for teens who are ready to hone their leadership skills while growing in their faith, our Foundations Program gathers for weekly meetings. These young adults learn lessons in responsibility and character, spend time studying the Word of God together, and have fun doing it!

The common thread throughout Scott Mission camp and all of our programs is that children, youth, and teens learn they are loved, they have value, and God has plans for their lives.

Thank you for making a gift now to invest in children who have been filled with uncertainty since the pandemic came into their lives—but who are now finding joy and hope through Scott Mission!

Scott Mission Camp has been beloved by under-resourced boys and girls for three decades. Donor support makes this transformative opportunity available to hundreds of children each year.
