Scott Mission is a source of hope to those who are hungry, homeless, and struggling to get back on their feet. Mohamed is one of a great number of people receiving the tools he needs to overcome homelessness—because of you.
Mohamed enjoys his work as a labourer and handyman. He likes the physicality and variety of opportunities that come his way. The downside is many of the jobs he can get don’t pay much, so after paying for transportation, there’s very little left for anything else.
“It’s hard to find a good-paying job,” he says. “Scott Mission helps you survive. I come here to get something to eat when I can’t afford food. You’ve got to eat to live, and the meals are very good.
“Everything is good at Scott Mission,” Mohamed says. “It’s a very good place.”
Mohamed is thankful for the many friends and donors who choose to support Scott Mission, especially now while the meals and other help he receives are such an encouragement. He is looking forward to finding a good job that will restore his independence.
