Richard knows help and hope—and a warm meal—can always be found from caring, compassionate neighbours at Scott Mission. He had found help at the Mission previously . . . more than 57 years ago!
So when he recently found himself between jobs and with nothing to eat, he turned once more to the compassionate neighbours at 502 Spadina Avenue.
A lot has changed since Richard’s first visit so long ago. No longer just a soup kitchen, the Mission is truly helping people rebuild what is broken in their lives.
The one thing that hasn’t changed is the Christ-centred care Richard knew he would find. Along with a warm meal, staff and volunteers offered prayer and encouragement to him and others experiencing hunger, homelessness, unemployment, and more.
